Our Baby Boy

Yup, that's right. At 14 weeks we suspected it was a boy and it really was! It didn't switch on us like last time. Here he is at 24 weeks and 4 days. And he's so much better looking than he was at 14 weeks! I love his little fingers in the 2nd picture.

Girls Night Out

This is just a picture of some of the girls from my old stroller class. We still get together once a month without any babies, talk, and eat. It's a lot of fun and we have a lot of laughs! It's a great group of women. Most of us just have one kid but there are 3 that are pregnant (including me). I'm sure more will be on the way.

While John was Away

Landon has learned a couple things in the last couple weeks. First, he's learned how to turn on his Daddy's alarm radio and loves to dance to it.
He also has learned how to turn the TV off and on. He thinks it's the funniest thing in the world. Here are just some pics from the week that John was gone. John was on a business trip so it was just me and Landon chilling it Albuquerque style!

He thinks he's adorable just sitting there.

And soooooo funny!
He tries to help in the backyard!
This is just after he woke up today. I told John to bring the camera with him because the other day, I caught him lounging in his crib. His feet were between the slats, his hands behind his head and he was watching his little music thing that he had turned on. I wish I could have gotten my camera and taken a picture of it but he was up the instant he saw me.

The Tahoe Trip

Even though I didn't go on the trip, I'm going to post about it since John took lots of pictures.
This was the first day that John got there. They'd just arrived and went to the beach. Landon loves the water so he wasn't too displeased about going.
Here he is with his Aunt Becky! As you can tell, he's still not walking on his own yet!!! Aunt Becky was a great help.
Grandpa walking with him in the water.
Grandma holding him during his nap. All that play is hard on a little guy like him!

Going out to Harrah's! Landon thinks sunglasses are pretty funny. I thought he looked pretty cool. Maybe we should go out an by him a pair.
John trying to do his famous back flip.
My stud of a man!

Landon's cousin Brittea just came right on over to him and started playing with him. It was really cute (well the pictures that I saw).
And Landon loved it. I guess she was really fun to play with.
So what did I end up doing? I was pretty boring. I would wake up, work-out, maybe go to the pool, go to work, and rent movies for the night. It was a little lonely but nice. Nothing special. This week, it's going to be just Landon and me. John is going to Alabama for work. So it'll be another week sorta by myself except Landon will be here to ... distract me.

The Memory Thing Going Around

I don't know how many of you have that funny of memories with me but whatev'. Ooh, I do hope some of you guys put this on your blog because I have some good times with ya'll!

Memory Game1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you:)

Time Alone

Well, John has taken off for his annual Tahoe trip with his family and he has also taken Landon with him!!! So now I sit with only my dog to keep me company. It was funny, as I was driving home from the airport, it was so quiet and I looked back to see what Landon was doing only to find that he wasn't there! For a fleeting second, I freaked out thinking I had left him somewhere (which I have never done) accidentally. It's always weird not to have him around when I'm at home. It's like he's my little puppy dog that's constantly following me around or I'm following him around as he nicely destroys the house. So it's a week (Sunday) until my family returns home. I'm thinking I should really do something fun while they're gone. I thought about a girls night with total girly stuff but all my friends have husbands and most have kids that they have to return to. I'll just have to have a ball by myself. Hmmm, cookie dough sounds good for dinner tonight!

Time Optimist

I'm usually a pessimist because I never wanted to be dissapointed with anything or anyone. For example, my freshman year in college, I was going to be living off campus. I had no idea what my 4 other roommates were going to be like. I just figured I wouldn't get along with any of them and I'd have to find friends elsewhere. This thinking worked out great because when I got along with one of my roommates really well, I was so happy about it! Had I thought that I was going to get along with all of my roommates and it was going to be this happy apartment all the time, I would have been sorely dissapointed and frustrated.
However, I find that I am a true optimist when it comes to my time. I don't know how many of ya'll are like this but I think I can do it all. I can wake up in the morning, get dressed, give Landon his bottle, get him dressed and ready for the day, work out, come home and eat breakfast, take a shower, and be ready for whatever appointment, lesson, or work I have!!! It almost never works and I always find myself running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Even though I know I can't do it most days, I'm always doing it!!! I keep repeating this over and over again! I'm already thinking about tomorrow and if I can squeeze everything in before 10:45 when I have to pick someone up at the airport. I've thought about going to a gym class or just going to the gym, or just running (which I did this morning), or even getting some work done before 10:45 when I need to be at the airport.
Another example of my time optimism is thinking that things won't take as long as they really do. I ended up taking 2 1/2 hours doing something that I told John would only take me 1 1/2 hours. What was I thinking?? A half hour into it, I knew this was not 1 1/2 job. Or at work, I think I'll only be there for 2 hours because that's all the work I have to get done. 6 hours later, I'm finally going home.
Anyways, I'm glad that I'm an optimist with something.
