Family Picture

Landon has discovered the weird feeling of sticking his tongue out and we can't keep his tongue in.

My dad wanted to see what the big deal was with how Landon lays around. He said it was pretty comfortable.

The Zoo Again

We went to the zoo again because John's company had a picnic there. It was a lot of fun. The company "bought out" the zoo so it wasn't as crowded as it usually is! They had food, entertainment, prizes, and you could go around and see all the animals that were still awake. The hippos were not available for viewing! :( John took some pictures (and videos) of the cougars. Go BYU! They were pretty cool. A guy there had a toy on a stick and kept moving it around and the cougars were following it everywhere. They truly are just big cats. Landon got a glow stick which he was fascinated with for awhile. We even won a prize which never happens!! We got three giftcards worth $5 each. One to Dions (the best pizza place in town), to Starbucks, and to Barnes and Nobles. We're gonna be big spenders!!

We found him in his crib laying the wrong way. He loves to just lay in his crib and play for awhile in the mornings. He'll make all these noises and think his hands are the coolest things in the world. I've got to say his hands are his favorite toy.

Scooting along

This is how Landon gets around when he wants to. He's working on those glutes! Even though he's rolled over from front to back, he really doesn't care to do it all that much and prefers the scoot to the roll. It's what works for him I guess. This video doesn't really show how far he can move around but believe me, I'll place him on the floor in one spot and he'll be across the room in another spot just by scooting.

Turned Over

Landon finally rolled over! Here's a video of it.

First Feeding

Landon turned 4 months today which means officially he can eat rice cereal! I thought, one less feeding? Heck Yes! The video is a little long but the last like 10 seconds is good. If you can, just forward it to 1:45. If you don't want to watch the video, there's his happy face.

Studying

I've decided that I want to teach classes at the gym that I work-out at. I've been studying to take the ACE Certification so that I will be able to teach classes soon. I usually study in the kitchen at the table and I put Landon in the swing because he loves the swing. It's a huge lifesaver! Usually when I'm studying, Landon's content at looking at his fish that go around on the swing. However, one day, he was watching me intently. I think he was trying to get my attention. One time when I looked over, he was giving me these great big smiles and I just had to get one on camera. He really wanted me to pay attention to him and not to my books! What a distraction.

Dad and Son

Whenever John comes home, Landon will instantly perk up. He'll look around until he finds his Dad, study his face for a couple of seconds, and then smile his best smile.
The other day, right before John came home, Landon was fussing and just wasn't in a good mood. Right when John walked in the door though, he started looking around towards the sound, found his Dad, and gave him a great big smile. John said, "Aww, he's in such a good mood!" He probably thinks that I just sit around all day with a happy baby. Ah, I wish! That would be wonderful. I'm just glad that Landon loves his Daddy and is happy to see him when he comes home.
Landon has finally figured out how to grab the toys that were dangling down on his playmat! He was so happy that he finally did it.

Landon has a problem watching TV already. He can just zone out in front of it. I guess we're going to have to limit his TV time when he gets older. As you can tell from one of the pictures, he doesn't like what he's watching and wants me to turn the channel. This kid can be so demanding sometimes!!

So I'm transitioning him out of his 0-3 month clothes and into his 3-6 month clothes. He has some summer 3-6 month clothes that have to be used before summer is over. I find that I'm taking more pictures of him in these outfits just becuase I don't know how many times he'll be able to wear it!
Also, we're working on getting him to suck his thumb. He figures it out sometimes but the other times he's sticking all his fingers in his mouth or his fist.

Here's another outfit that's 3-6 month. I thought he looked like such a little boy because we put shoes on him.

Just some randon pictures.
He's learned to play Hide n' Seek.

Workin' it! Posing for the camera.
