Colorado

After we flew to NC and back, we all had 2 days to recoup and then it was off to Colorado to visit my brothers family. They have 3 kids that are all about the same age as my kiddos so it was a lot of fun.  One of the highlights was going on a candy factory tour. Right up my alley! The kids loved watching them make candy and getting treats from them too. Carly especially loved the candy they passed out and even "asked" for a second piece.
The kids and I enjoyed taking tons of funny pictures and I'm only sharing one because I don't think anyone would want to see all of the photos we took. Oh, and this is off my iphone so it's really crappy looking but cute nonetheless!

How We Travel

I try to make my kids as pleasant as possible in airports so that instead of people being like, "what is that crazy lady doing with 3 kids all by herself" they think first, "those kids are so cute!" and then, "is that woman crazy enough to travel alone?" To make it a little easier, I decided to make them some fleece pants and then a "matching" bag with the remaining scraps that they would put on the second leg of the trip to NC so that when we arrived VERY late at night, they'd already be dressed for bed. I was so proud that I used almost all of the fabric and almost none of it went to waste. I did see people staring and smiling in the airport so my mission was accomplished!

Easter 2012

Did I forget to do Easter? Oops! So before we left for NC, we had Easter. It was Carly's first Easter egg hunt and she really didn't know what she was doing but the boys had it down!
Do you know how hard it is to get the kids cute smiles all in one frame? Im - freaking - possible!
The best I could get with all three. Nice, huh?
Waiting oh so patiently to get the eggs.

Finishing up NC

Lots of fun was to be had in North Carolina. We went to Chuck E Cheese, Marbles Kids Museum (we went there last time too and we love it!), of course a trip to Krispy Kreme to watch the donuts being made, swimming at a great pool, the Life and Science Musuem, the Jump Zone (which is way better than anywhere her in Albuquerque!), went to a lot of different parks, and just a lot of playing, dancing, and cooking yummy food. In essence, we didn't really do that much! :) It's always so much fun to go out and always so sad to leave. Hence the reason why I stayed 2 weeks. I just wish we could all live a whole lot closer.

North Carolina 2012 - Zoo / Horseback Riding / Soccer

The Asheboro Zoo is pretty amazing! They have 2 different areas of the zoo. One's Africa and the other is North America. The animals aren't enclosed in cages but in big kind of prairies. It's a long "hike"but really pretty.

On Saturday we had Parker's (my nephew) horseback riding (these are therapy horses) where we got to look and pet the horses.
And after horseback riding was Camden's (my other nephew) soccer game.
And this is what Carly looks like if I don't do anything with her hair or she pulls it out. Yikes!

North Carolina 2012 - Pullen Park

Me and the kids headed out to North Carolina for 2 weeks to visit my sister. We had a blast as always. We got there very early Wednesday morning so that Wednesday, we just relaxed. My Aunt came in town to hang out with us too for a couple days which was so great! The kids loved hanging out with her.
One of the activities that was a hit was playing angry birds with their cousin and Aunt. Landon's faces were great!
The first day we went to a great park called Pullen Park. It's a beautiful park with lots of stuff for the kids to do. They can play on the playground equipment, which was everywhere, go on the kiddy boats, go on the merry-go-round, do the paddle boats, or ride the train. And the awesome thing is, all the little rides were only a buck! The sad thing was, the train broke down while we were there. So all the following pics are of the little rides we did.

The End of January

One of the reasons I ended up not posting for a while is I got pregnant and along with that came not feeling that great and being tired. We found out at the end of January. So, everything was basically on hold while I just tried to make dinners and keep up with the house. We are 21 weeks, due September 28th, and having a boy. Fun fact, the babies feet are 3.5 cm long and he sure was kicking those little feet during the ultrasound. The boys are overtaking the family! It's just me and Carly. We're so excited to be adding to our family.

I've got to get on it!

It's been gone a while and I have so much to catch up on! I swear I haven't completely disappeared and we've even been doing a lot of fun things! It's not any of you ... it's me. I swear! So, I promise I'll make it up to you soon and try and be a little entertaining as I catch up on all the going abouts in the last 4 months. They include: being sick (I know sounds fun already, right?), North Carolina, Denver, Utah, visits to friends, and in-laws. I'm tired already thinking about how much stuff there is! And I have more than 500 photos I've taken. Probably more like 1,000 but I promise I'm not going to post all of them. Maybe just half!
