Christmas Can Come

It's over!!! I was in charge of the Christmas program again for this year. Last year, I wasn't so into it. I'd just had Cody via C-Section. Fun. This year, I was planning on only having 3 choir songs and making others contribute. That way I wouldn't have to do much! I only wished. I ended up playing for 5 other people along with conducting the 3 choir songs. I was also supposed to sing a song with someone but the program was a little too long and something had to be cut last minute. I and my singing buddy gracefully bowed out. It has been so hectic. Almost every night I had people coming over to practice. Add people (including the missionaries) coming over for dinner about once or twice a week, it led to some pretty crazy nights. But now I'm DONE! I can finally just relax and enjoy the holiday season, or what's left of it. I was very proud of the program though. There were a lot of people who came up and said it was the best program they'd ever heard which made me feel really good. I'm always so nervous to do anything in church because I always worry that it won't be good enough. Don't even ask me to speak in church because I get crazy, angry, nervous!!! It's weird.
On another note, I can finally catch up on the blog. Hence the next couple of post!

Handsome Little Boy

I just think he's so handsome! He did not enjoy Santa Claus. I've always thought that it's a funny concept that Santa is this big man with a beard that covers most of his face and we make our kids sit on his lap. No wonder kids are scared! He'll learn.

One of Cody's favorite spots is in Daisy's bed. He loves getting in there in the mornings.

Potty Training

Landon has been officially potty trained since the week before Thanksgiving weekend. He was a pro at it! I took one of my friend's advice and went cold turkey. I actually was just thinking of trying it out for a day but my friend said, nah uh. Once you start, you have to continue with it. No more diapers! So I did it. Landon doesn't even wear diapers at night! He's had a couple of accidents but he's upset when he does. I didn't realize how nice it was to only change one kids diapers now!

12 months

Just for fun, I wanted to look back on photos of Cody and Landon. It's funny, a lot of people will say how much they look alike so I started this blog a long time ago just to see if they look alike and are now looking more different or if they are starting to look more alike. It's fun to look over these pictures and see the differences and the similarities between these boys. FYI, Cody's always on the left which makes Landon always on the right.
1st Day

In their car seats on the way home from the hospital. Cody's just a tad bit smaller weighing in 2 lbs. lighter than Landon. His little newborn hat didn't even fit!

Happy 5th Anniversary

John and I have now been married for 5 years!! That's pretty big, right? It feels so weird to be already married that long. Here is a quick run-down as to the biggest things that have happened to us in the last 5 years!
  • Got married to the greatest guy around
  • I graduated from college in Food science
  • Worked for a year and a half (put my honey through school!)
  • Bought a dog
  • John graduated in Electrical Engineering
  • Moved from Provo to Albuquerque
  • John got his first "real" job
  • Bought a house
  • Had a baby
  • I started working for my mom
  • Had a second baby
I'd say we have had some pretty big things happen in the last 5 years. Here's to the next 5!

Late Halloween Pics

It's a little late but here are the Halloween pictures. Landon was a pirate. I was actually pretty proud of his costume. I had picked up one from walmart and it was just so cheaply made and the hat didn't even fit. I returned it and bought the hat for a couple bucks at Hobby Lobby along with a hook (which he surprisingly held all night) and a sash. Cody was a bear just like Landon had been. It was a little tight but it was only for one night. Landon loved trick-or-treating.

Here's Cody wanting to go home.

Cody loved Landon's outfit.

Happy 1st Birthday Cody!

Cody turned 1 today! I have a 1 and a 2 year old! How crazy is that?! I can't believe that a year ago, I was getting cut open to have him. It seems like it just happened a couple months ago. that day is still so very fresh in my mind. I remember my water breaking and calling my mom because I didn't know if I was just peeing my pants! I remember bringing Landon to their house. I remember being told that it was an emergency and that I'd need a C-Section right then. I remember thinking it was pretty funny that the nurse was freaking out and I was totally okay. I remember the drugs. Oh what drugs!!! I remember being so loopy! I remember not being able to see him for 4 HOURS after he was born because I was so medicated. I remember finally seeing him and thinking that he looked weird because his head was so perfect. I remember bringing him home and introducing him to Landon. I had 2 sons. I remember thinking it was so crazy that I was a mother of 2 boys!!! It's still crazy to think that I'm a mother of 2 beautiful boys that I love more than anything else in this world (John too!!).
I love all the memories that I have of him and all the more memories that we are going to create! Happy Birthday!
These photos weren't all from his birthday but look how cute he is!!! And look at those baby blues!
The Birthday Cake. I opted to make a traditional cake. Nothing fancy but I guess Landon thought it was amazing!
He was surprisingly very clean eating his cake but really liked it.
Some random but cute pictures of Cody.
Mommy, what are you doing?
This is mostly for my parent-in-laws see him eating the cake. If anyone else is interested in seeing my kid eat cake, knock yourself out!
