All the boys on the floor!

Monday, August 27, 2007

Now there is a story behind this. This isn't just another sleeping picture, even though it is a picture of him sleeping.
Mom was left in charge of Landon for a little while while Tami, Camden and I all went to the pool at our complex. We came back to my parents and Landon was asleep on the bed in my parents room even though I'd left him on the floor in the Family Room. A little background, Landon had learned how to scoot a little bit. He's never gone anywhere very fast doing it though and hasn't gone very far. While mom was watching him, Landon had scooted between an in-table and the sofa and had gotten his head stuck. He started yelling at the top of his lungs and when my mom got to him, he looked at her like, "what happened?" She calmed him down and laid him on her bed on his tummy so he wouldn't scoot off the bed. Since then, Landon really doesn't scoot. He's content to just lay there an flail his arms and legs in the air.

Fishing

So, mom suggested fishing and we thought it was a good idea. Nice and relaxing, right? Oh my goodness, it was so not what I thought it was! I hadn't been fishing since I was a brownie in girl scouts. All I remember was catching a fish (by the way, I was the last one in the troop to catch a fish and I was again the last one to catch a fish this time too). I didn't realize that there were so many other things involved. Like if a fish swallows the hook, you have to pry it out of his mouth with plyers. Did we have any? Of course not! And man, those fish were hard to hold on to those slippery little suckers! We didn't come very prepared either. We didn't have anything to hold our fish in, or anything to get the hook out of their mouths. Thankfully, there was someone else there with his kid and he helped us out with getting the hook out of their mouths and gave us a chain to ring all the fish up together with.
Price for fishing - $11.50
Price for 5 fish at $0.55/in - $33.00
Actually catching a fish - Priceless!

All the fish we caught!

A Busy Day

We all went to the zoo, botanical gardens, and the aquarium all in one day. I hadn't been to the zoo in so long and I didn't know that they had hippos there! I've always wanted to see a hippo.
The one on the right are the hippos. There's a mom and baby in the pic!
This fish looked depressed! :(
Landon was so tired by the end of the day!

Family

Tami, my sister, came to visit with her two kids, Camden and Parker.
On one of their first days here, we went to the Explora museum which was really cool! I'm definitely going to be getting a museum pass because not only did the kids love it, Me and Tami had a a lot of fun too!

Parker really liked Daisy and Daisy felt likewise. She was always licking Parker all over.

All the boys were hanging out on the floor "bonding".

Ahhhhhhh!

John was leaves early in the morning but he always says goodbye to Landon. He went in this morning and saw how cute he looked so he had to take a picture.

Our Other Baby

Daisy thinks this boppy is hers. Whenever it's laying around and Landon's not in it, she sits in it. She does the same with the play mat. She thinks that we gave her something nice and cushy to lay on. When Landon's laying on it, she'll come and lay really close to him so she's partly on it too. She's a spoiled one.

True Baller From Day 1

My Mother-in-Law sent out this outfit and John had to have him wear it right away! He wore this to church minus the beanie. He looked like a true playa' in it!

Put Em' Up

Look at his form! He loves to hold his hands in the air like this and we thought it looked funny. He's ready for a fight!

Precious

I just thought he looked so pleasant so I had to snap a couple of pictures of him sleeping, as if we don't have enough of him sleeping already!
