The Memory Thing Going Around

I don't know how many of you have that funny of memories with me but whatev'. Ooh, I do hope some of you guys put this on your blog because I have some good times with ya'll!

Memory Game1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you:)

Time Alone

Well, John has taken off for his annual Tahoe trip with his family and he has also taken Landon with him!!! So now I sit with only my dog to keep me company. It was funny, as I was driving home from the airport, it was so quiet and I looked back to see what Landon was doing only to find that he wasn't there! For a fleeting second, I freaked out thinking I had left him somewhere (which I have never done) accidentally. It's always weird not to have him around when I'm at home. It's like he's my little puppy dog that's constantly following me around or I'm following him around as he nicely destroys the house. So it's a week (Sunday) until my family returns home. I'm thinking I should really do something fun while they're gone. I thought about a girls night with total girly stuff but all my friends have husbands and most have kids that they have to return to. I'll just have to have a ball by myself. Hmmm, cookie dough sounds good for dinner tonight!

Time Optimist

I'm usually a pessimist because I never wanted to be dissapointed with anything or anyone. For example, my freshman year in college, I was going to be living off campus. I had no idea what my 4 other roommates were going to be like. I just figured I wouldn't get along with any of them and I'd have to find friends elsewhere. This thinking worked out great because when I got along with one of my roommates really well, I was so happy about it! Had I thought that I was going to get along with all of my roommates and it was going to be this happy apartment all the time, I would have been sorely dissapointed and frustrated.
However, I find that I am a true optimist when it comes to my time. I don't know how many of ya'll are like this but I think I can do it all. I can wake up in the morning, get dressed, give Landon his bottle, get him dressed and ready for the day, work out, come home and eat breakfast, take a shower, and be ready for whatever appointment, lesson, or work I have!!! It almost never works and I always find myself running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Even though I know I can't do it most days, I'm always doing it!!! I keep repeating this over and over again! I'm already thinking about tomorrow and if I can squeeze everything in before 10:45 when I have to pick someone up at the airport. I've thought about going to a gym class or just going to the gym, or just running (which I did this morning), or even getting some work done before 10:45 when I need to be at the airport.
Another example of my time optimism is thinking that things won't take as long as they really do. I ended up taking 2 1/2 hours doing something that I told John would only take me 1 1/2 hours. What was I thinking?? A half hour into it, I knew this was not 1 1/2 job. Or at work, I think I'll only be there for 2 hours because that's all the work I have to get done. 6 hours later, I'm finally going home.
Anyways, I'm glad that I'm an optimist with something.

Camping in the Jemez

This weekend we went camping in the Jemez mountains. We were worried it was going to pour on us but we were lucky and it only sprinkled the night that we were there. We went with 4 other couples from our ward. It was a lot of fun and we've decided that just 1 night is much to short. So next year, it'll be 2 nights! We hung out, talked, and went on a little hike with Landon to the stream. As you can see, he enjoyed it sooooo much!

Here were some of the kids his age just playing around with the gravel.

He's already got a girlfriend.

He loved the taste of the gravel and LOVED being outdoors all day.

The good old Vranes Family!

This Month

I guess it's about time to update my blog when my sister's decide to high-jack my blog and make it cooler looking and post a blog for me!!! It has been a busy month. I was in Florida for part of it doing some work for my mom. I work part-time for her company. It was fun acting like a working woman full-time for that week! I even got a little time to play. One day we went down and visited my grandparents and played tennis and went to the beach. I've got to say, traveling without a baby is amazing! I actually finished reading a book!!!!! I haven't done that in .... well I don't know when. When I came home, I had to catch up on work and make sure that my mom stayed in town for her surprise birthday (read blog below)!! That was a feat. My sister actually has a great recap (day by day) of everything we did for my mom's b-day party if you really want to read about it. Here are more pictures of the last couple of weeks!
Here I am in front of our booth. Not the best picture but the only one I have!

Here we are waiting for my Mom to come home!! We ended up just jumping up from behind the couch. Not anything too original. But it was still a surprise!!

Here we are, a big happy family!

Here's the fancy shmancy dinner Tami made for us one night! It was really good.

Here are just some random pictures of Landon at home. He loves going through his books and that's the first time he's ever been so tired he's fallen asleep in his high chair while eating!

I just think he's so cute how fascinated he is with the tennis balls! He never gets to keep the one he usually has at home because Daisy is OCD about balls and steals it from him.

The boys did in fact fit in my car!! They got along great back there.

I am a bad blogger

Tami and Shana here, we have hijacked Tiffany's blog in order to see a new post on it. So, what have I, Tiffany, been up to? Well, I am a fabulous mom to my cute little one year old, who is close to walking and talking! He says cute words like sh sh for fish and dog. He loves playing with his cousins and aunts, who are all out visiting for my mom's surprise birthday party weekend! I will soon be posting about my fun weekend! Here is a preview:
